Lagos State Government Launches Incident Command System To Prevent Corona virus:

To prevent an outbreak of the Corona virus in Lagos and indeed, Nigeria, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Sanwu Olu has launched an Incident Command System today 3rd February, 2020.

According to governor Sanwu, the launching of Corona virus Incident Command System is to prevent risk of Lagos residents contracting the deadly disease.

In a facebook post made by the governor, he said;

“The Command will work with healthcare professionals in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health.

“We will operate the Command till we are certain that our state is not at risk. I will take charge as Incident Commander while the Commissioner for Health Professor Akin Abayomi will serve as Deputy.

“We have started providing human and material logistics required for this exercise. Our General Hospitals are prepared to deal with any case that may occur.

I urge Lagosians to go about their daily activities without fear and observe all personal measures to stay safe”.

Meanwhile, Lagos state is the first state in Nigeria that has put up a preventative measures to prevent the spread of Corona virus in Nigeria.
