Mrs. Sadiya Farouq, the Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Management, Disaster and National Social Investment Program has said, the first batch of N. Power beneficiaries can not be sacked as plans to either to sack or retain them are still underway.
She made this revelation on Wednesday 22nd January, 2020 when she met with the NPower beneficiaries at their headquarters in Abuja.
“We are on top gear in making plans to put things in place for the first batch to make sure, they don’t go just like that. We have to ensure, they are not abandoned back to the street as their exit from NPower may cause nuisance in the society”.
However, Mr. Sadiya also talked about the planned community policing. She said:
“Plans to use Npower volunteers for community policing have been concluded and we are seeing how we can talk as well as partnering with state governors to absorb them. This is because, after they are absorbed for community policing, it is not in Abuja they will come to work, rather, it is their respective states they will work. As such, the state governors have to first of all agree to partner with the federal government so as to make it easier for us”.
Mrs. Sadiya therefore adviced the beneficiaries not to bother as they can not be sacked without making sure they are engaged after the expiration of 2years.
