APC Publicity Secretary And Others Dump APC For PDP IN Akwa Ibom State

It’s a heartrending period for the APC faithfuls in Esit Eket as the immediate past Publicity Secretary of APC, Mr. Michael Alfred who until his defection had been the only one who projected the APC structure in different strata even when the leading party (PDP) released its missiles in several occasions, today 7th January, 2020 dumped the party for PDP which happens to be the biggest political party in Africa.

His defection followed after the alleged suspension of Michael Alfred by the APC on the 13th December, 2019 following the claim by some aggrieved APC members that, Mr. Michael Alfred has a cordial relationship with the council boss, Engr. Iniobong Robson and on several occasions defended the council boss when being attacked by their members as they said, their party constitution forbids such act thus tagged it: anti party activity.

While receiving Michael Alfred and other defectors including Amb. Nsikanabasi Ese, the former YYP State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. (Elder) Eddy Etangkanga, the PDP chapter chairman applauded Michael Alfred and other defectors for their courage and the ability to stand out despite the seemingly pressures from the opposition.

“On behalf of the party chairman in the state, the local government council chairman, the political leader and the entire party structure in Esit Eket, I, Hon. Eddy Etangkanga, the chairman of the PDP chapter chairmen forum in Akwa Ibom State, I want to commend you all for your courage to dump APC for PDP today.

“APC anywhere is like a tree that has no roots, which can fall any time. They are always at war with each other. From the national to the local level, APC is viewed as the most clumsy party ever be hence, the possibility of APC winning any election in the state, let alone Esit Eket remains very slim. As a matter of fact, APC at all levels lacks leadership wisdom, prudence and empathy”.

The party chairman applauded Amb. Nsikanabasi Ese, the former YYP state house candidate for accepting to defect to PDP with Michael Alfred whom he also sees as his son.

Hon. Enobong Asubop, the PDP leader in Ward4, Ikpa town in Esit Eket extolled Michael Alfred for standing on the side of truth despite the purported suspension by the APC hungry members. “Michael Alfred, as the leader of PDP in Ward4, I happily receive you back to where you rightfully belong. I know you did not leave the party but rather, u only traveled to go and see how things are in APC and behold, you are back to the right political platform that suits you. Now that you have comeback to the party, I, and pastor Isaiah Abia will have total peace in Ward4 during elections. As some one who can write very well, I know you will now channel your energy to writing for PDP and not to attack us anymore in PDP”.

Mr. Isaiah Abia, the political leader of Ward4 and the former SSA to the governor welcomed Michael Alfred and his friends back to the party and said, now that Michael Alfred is back to his root, they are going to join hands together and work for the common good of PDP and Esit Eket at large.

In response, Amb. Nsikanabasi Ese, the former State House aspirant who also happens to be the International Coordinator of Kairos Embassy on behalf of the defectors thanked the PDP leadership in Esit Eket for receiving them back into the party and said, “Michael Alfred would have left APC since: I was the one who asked him to stay for the while and see how things go. But after some time staying in APC, I discovered that, some humans in APC are not actually human being thus, we decided to take a bold step today by leaving APC to PDP, the biggest political party in Africa”.

He further prayed to the party leadership: now that they are full members of PDP, anything shared in the party should also be given to them equally without any form of hatred and partiality.

Finally, Hon. Eddy Etangkanga on behalf of the leadership of PDP in Esit Eket received them into the party and immediately issued to them the membership cards which is the symbol of PDP.
