…as plans for 2nd convention, 1st anniversary kicks off

The August Born Care Foundation has revealed that more lives will be touched this year during activities towards its second convention and first year anniversary celebrations.

Interim President of the Foundation, Hon. Itoro Etim made this known while addressing newsmen, Sunday in Uyo, shortly after a general meeting at Doctors’ Mess.

According to Etim, yesterday’s meeting was to set the ball rolling by putting up necessary committees and mandating them to plan for the event. He hinted that the event and all its pre activities will hold in August, beginning with a visit to the Hospital to welcome the August baby of the year 2022, he also stated that the August Born Convention will take place on Saturday, August 27, a day after the Foundation would have held her first ever election into various offices, while the thanksgiving service will hold the Sunday in a venue that will be decided by the Convention Committee.

While inaugurating the committees at the meeting, Etim charged them to work for the success of the convention as well as all activities to come with it. Those appointed to head the respective committees are, Dr. Ime Udoh, Convention Committee; Mr. Ubong Essien, Media Committee, among others. Meanwhile, two other committees for general purposes were also inaugurated. They are, Electoral Committee which has Engr. Emmanuel Ekong as chairman, and Constitution Drafting Committee which has Mr Emmanuel Ekpo as Chairman.
