It was a spiritually uplifting moment as the State President of the Boy’s Brigade Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Council, Sir.Hon. Godfrey Bartepeh (KJW) led his officer’s and leadership of BB. Akwa Ibom State Council in a Prayer Conference to rededicate the state Council to God and usher in the new year 2020.
This year prayer conference was done with the Theme, Redeeming The Time For The Days Are Evil (Ephesians 5:16), The prayer conference took place at United Evangelical Church 165 Aka Road, Second Uyo north company, Uyo North Battalion Council.
The Boy’s Brigade is an interdenominational Christian Youth Organisation which was conceived by Sir. William Alexander Smith in Scotland to combine drills and funs Christian values for the young ones. It was build on two pillars, Religion and Decipline and it is today one of the oldest youth organisation used to bring up young ones in the Christians way.
The State Secretary Organiser, Inyang Idiongette (ANTO) Who led members of the Executive Council on a prayer conference and redelication service to God, said they were appreciating God for his protection through out 2019, acknowledging that “it was the almighty God who did not allow any soul to be lost in the State Council”.
Earlier, the host Chaplain of United Evangelical Church (UEC), Rev.Dr Uyime Ukoette remarked that the assemblage of Christian faithful, was to seek divine intervention in the affairs of the State Council of Boy’s Brigade. Appreciating the State President Sir. Godfrey Bartepeh for sustaining the organisation.
The Chaplain noted that, it was imperative for every Members to pray for the progress of the State Council, pointing out that the prayer conference was a great opportunity for all Members to worship and pray together.
In his sermon, the host Chaplain Rev.Dr Uyime Ukoette admonished Members of BB to willingly accept divine guidance to attend their destination,
Speaking on the Theme…. Redeeming The Time For The Days Are Evil (Ephesians 5:16), Bible Reading Exodus 20:1-17 the Chaplain called on every Member of the Boy’s Brigade to keep the Ten commandments
The chaplain, who led other Ministers in prayers to rededicate the state Council, said that prayer is a powerful weapon in the lives of individuals who call upon God and surrender their affairs into his hands,
He urged all Members in the State Council to unite in prayers, seek the path of peace, love and care for each other.
The prayer conference featured praise and worship, Ministration by BB Mass Choir, prayers of redelication, intercessory prayers for the State President, his Officer’s, Boy’s, Captains, Patrons and his Cabinet Members.
