In few months, Nigerians are likely to queue up in another process to elect representatives and leaders in House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship and President of the federal republic. These elections are sine qua non to the progress, unity and development of our nascent democracy and by enhancing mutual trust and setting of democratic agenda for the next 4 years.
In Eket Federal Constituency for instance, the forthcoming election should avail the electorates the opportunity to relinked the area to national political nerves. The intentional neglect witnessed in the federal constituency over the years, can only be rectified by legislation and negotiation spearheaded by an experienced legislator with proven, tested and unbeatable track records of social engineering and interpersonal collaboration.
Going by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) list of political parties candidates vying for House of Representatives, published in their offices in Eket, Esit Eket, Ibeno and Onna local government areas and seen by this writer, Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, having gained necessary national experiences in lawmaking, with due respect to other candidates and their parties, stands shoulder high above other candidates.
Eseme Eyiboh, knows what service is. He believes in human capital development.Today, beneficiaries of his empowerment programs are doing excellently well in sport, law, journalism, entrepreneurship etc. Projects initiated by this gifted orator are scattered around the four local government areas in Eket Federal Constituency.These and others are the testimonials of a legislator who treasures advancement and growth.
No doubt whatsoever, Rt. Hon.Eseme Eyiboh has gained national legislative experience. He is a national figure with network of friends and colleagues in and out of the shores of Nigeria. As a ranking lawmaker, he deserves the support of all to enable him represent Eket Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, is an asset. Not only to his federal constituency but to the entire nation. His quest to return to the House of Representatives should be collectively root for and encouraged.
