It could be recalled that, on the 19th of October, 2019, the executive chairman of Esit Eket ably represented by his able Vice, Hon. During the laying of the foundation stone, the executive chairman of Esit Eket, Hon. Iniobong Robson promised that in 6months time, the Esit Eket Legislative Chambers would be completed and from where it’s today, it would be nothing short of what the council helmsman had promised.

On 24th January, 2020, the executive chairman of Esit Eket, Hon. Iniobong Robson accompanied by the Supervisor for Works, Hon. Bright Maxwell went on the physical inspection at the site so as to practically ascertain the level of work there. According to the statement made to the Newsline9ja Reporter, the Supervisor for Works, Hon. Bright Maxwell said,

“Ultra-modern Esit Eket LGC legislative Chambers with 15 offices for councillors and legislative staffs under construction. As you can see, work is seriously going on and people are working assiduously to make sure, we keep to our promise of completing it in 6months. As always the case in storey building: the only aspect that will delay the work a little bit is after decking, we will stop work so as to allow it dry and strong very well. In building laying of stones is not a big deal and does not take time. So by the time we finish decking of the floors, let’s say next month, we won’t waste time doing the remaining things as everything, equipments are intact for the finishing touches of the project.

“As a Supervisor for Works,I can tell you authoritatively that this building will be ready for use before May,2020”.
