EXPOSED: Mkpat Enin Council Boss Demotes His CPS To Clinch His 2023 Federal House Ambition

In what could be described as political calculation on his part, the executive chairman of Mkpat Enin LGA, Hon. Anieokpon Ekpo has demoted his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Samuel Udoma to Special Assistant, New, and Local Media, 24th June 2021, reports.

Information gathered from the member of his cabinet who preferred to remain anonymous has it that, the reason the council boss reassigned his CPS to another less sensitive position is because of his 2023 ambition, which is to contest for the House of Representative.

According to the source, Mr. Ekpo is being deceived by some insignificant set of people that, he will be the next federal house member from the extraction and it could be that his former CPS is loyal to other political lords In the local government who may not like his idea to contest election in 2023 hence he reassigned him to the lower position to prevent him from getting sensitive information directly from his boss.

However, feeling cheated by his boss whom he had worked for right from the campaign period, Samuel Udoma took a bold step and resigned honorably, today 26th June 2023.

In his resignation letter and from the phone conversation with Newsline9ja reporter, Udoma said his resignation is true though for personal reasons but acknowledged the fact that he can not allow himself to be treated with levity in a government he worked for tirelessly.

Meanwhile, the sudden resignation of the CPS has got many people in the state talking and wondering why the council chairman could demote a hard-working aide that has worked for him even when he did not become the chairman and through him, Mr. Ekpo has enjoyed the media collaboration and rapport since he became the council boss.

The question is, will Mkpat Enin council boss still have the media immunity and rapport now that his CPS whose pedigree in media practice has a span in the state? Nobody knows as only the future will tell.
