Akanimo is one of the aspirants from Esit Eket contesting for Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
BACKGROUND:
Born into the family of Elder Benjamin Udobia, Edo, Esit Eket LGA. He’s the third son who enjoys the company of four siblings, a wife, two wonderful children, and a host of nephews and nieces.
EDUCATION:
Akanimo started his primary education at New Era Nursery/Primary School; he proceeded to Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene in 1995 and gained admission to study Computer Science at Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State where he graduated with Second Class, Upper Division.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:
i) Lagos Business School, Lagos State
WORKING EXPERIENCE:
i) Akanimo served meritoriously as a supervisor councilor for Education, Esit Eket LGA.
ii) Executive Director, Benest Technical Service (BTS).
iii) Director at KENT HARRIS & COMPANY LTD.
iv) Director, AKABEN Ventures, and various other companies.
MANIFESTO:
- OUR ENVIRONMENT: According to Hon. Udobia, if elected as state house member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, he will promote legislation that will preserve our environment, mitigate the impact of exploration and production activities by ensuring minimal damage to the communities.
- PARTNERSHIP WITH NCDMB, NAPIMS, and Other Agencies to implement and amend/initiate existing legislation.
- SCHOLARSHIP/CRAFTSMANSHIP: According to him, he will give scholarships to selected outstanding students and people considered to be of special conditions across the state constituency. He said he will also pursue academic and career counseling through the utilization of the existing network of ward councilors in the two LGAs.
- SUSTAINABLE EMPOWERMENT: He hopes to revolutionize empowering system by changing the narratives, adopting a sustainable empowerment approach through cutting edge professional training, giving access to quality education, a wide range of training, and skills acquisition to the rural dwellers.
- FEEDBACK AND REGULAR BRIEFING: He says he will always keep his doors, ears, and, phone lines open for feedback.
- A WORTHY AMBASSADOR: Akaben says, as a representative of the people, he will personally inspire the youths.
- RIVERINE AND FISHING COMMUNITIES: He says, if, given the opportunity, he will provide modern fish processing facilities to reduce the burden and risk associated with traditional fish processing methods.
