2023 : We Will Deliver Ibeno for PDP – Etteh
… As Party Stakeholders Vow to Support PDP ‘Overwhelmingly’ in 2023 General Elections
The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket and Ibeno Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Okpolupm Etteh has reaffirmed the commitment of the People of Ibeno to deliver their votes for the party at the General elections come 2023.
The immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties stated this on Saturday, 3rd September at Ulok Ulok Hall during the party’s stakeholders meeting.
He acknowledged the contributions of the party towards the infrastructural development of Ibeno, its neighboring communities and the State in General, noting that the party has provided the platform for Ibeno Sons and daughters to attain greater heights in leadership and self development.
The former leader Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly appreciated the Governor for the support given him and other indigenes of Ibeno to occupy sensitive positions of authority under his Government, stressing that such act must be commended and the people must reciprocate similar gesture by supporting the party to succeed.
Earlier on, the chapter Chairman of the party, Hon. Emma Ibok while assuring the stakeholders and faithfuls that the party will sweep the entire votes, appealed to them to mobilize the people of Ibeno and residents to go and get their PVCs which he said will enable them vote come 2023.
The Chairman however sounded a note of warning against stakeholders getting involved in anti-party activities, adding that the eagle eye of the party will fish out such culprits.
The State officer of the party, Mrs Grace Henry Ekpe while delivering the State Chairman’s goodwill message, urged party faithfuls and stakeholders to be steadfast in their support for all the candidates of the party. She assured of more dividends of democracy.
The Council Chairman, High Chief Williams Henry Mkpah who spoke glowingly of the Governor, added that Ibeno people has no reason to play opposition,stating that PDP is traditionally a home for the people of Ibeno.
The leader, Ibeno Legislative council, Hon. Ekemini Abang Okon who spoke on behalf of the Councillors added that as ‘governors’ of their respective wards, they will mobilize their supporters at various units to vote massively for the party and will ensure that all PDP candidates emerge winner at the General Elections.
Key stakeholders who also spoke and affirmed their support for the party include, The Vice Chairman of Council, Apostle Ekah, Chief Inyang Eyo-Ita, Chapter Woman leader – Naomi Peter, Chairman of ward Chairmen – Eshiet Akpanoluo, One time Vice Chairman of Uquo Ibeno LGA, Hon. Joshua Mkpat,
Mr. Samuel Moses, Amb. Erastus Afia, Party youth leader,Mr. Victor Edikpo among other notable stakeholders of the party.
Highpoint of the event was the adoption and pronouncement of the Rt. Hon. Henry Nko,
Former Chairman Ibeno Local Government and currently Member, State Technical School Board as the new coordinator of MPM in Ibeno.
Nko took over from Rt Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, the PDP flag bearer for Eket Federal Constituency.
