The Chief Medical Director of University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Doctor Ememabasi Bassey has refuted and reacted to a story making arounds that the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital is currently on recruitment processes.

Dr. Bassey, told Ikpaisong Reporters that the news is false and baseless as the Management of UUTH at anytime considered the recruitment of more personnels.

He opined that a message widely circulated, and job seekers are asked to call one Dr(Mrs) Okojie with telephone number 08036876069, that the hospital is recruiting Medical officers,House jobs/Internships in medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory science, Optometry, Physiologist and Health Technologist is fake and has no authorization from the Hospital Board.

Dr. Bassey, advised Akwa Ibom State indigenes and Nigerians not to fall victims to job scammers and urged security agencies to investigate the matter and perpetrators of the criminal act arrested and prosecuted.

Recently, a fraudster circulated these messages, “Dear someone can be lucky to get this job,send it to someone now, Medical offciers ,Uyo, full time at
University of Uyo Teaching Hospital 2019/2020 recruitments exercise Is Out Call 08036876069

“this is to inform the general public on the ongoing recruitment exercise for medical officers, house jobs/internships in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, medical laboratory science,optometry, physiologist and health technologist call DR
MRS OKOJIE on 08036876069 for more information”.
