An apex pro-democracy, advocacy, and socio-political organization, Democratic Solidarity Group (DSG) has confirmed that the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a perfect choice for PDP Vice Presidential Candidate.

The confirmation was made by the organization during their visit to Asaba, the Delta State capital ahead of their 4th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled to hold today, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Orchid Hotel, Asaba.

In a release signed by the Director General, Amb. Ubong David, and made available to the press, the organization commended the visionary leadership and achievements of Governor Okowa-led administration for his outstanding performance, especially in the area of job creation, wealth creation, promoting sound health and education peace-building, and transformed environment to engender healthy living, as well as agriculture to boost food sufficiency.

The organization specifically commended Governor Okowa for his several intervention projects including upgrading three institutions: Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba; University of Delta, Agbor; and University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, into full-fledged autonomous universities which have hitherto boosted academic excellence in the state.

However, the organization emphasized that with the level of achievements recorded by Governor Okowa, he remains the best choice for Atiku Abubakar’s running mate to “Rescue Nigeria” in the 2023 presidential election.

The organization, therefore, promised to mobilize the electorates across the 774 local government areas in the country to vote massively for the victory of Atiku-Okowa in next year’s general elections.
