PSG reach historic UEFA Champions League final

French champions Paris Saint-Germain completed an historic 3-0 victory against RB Leipzig to qualify for a first-ever UEFA Champions League final in the club’s history.

First-half goals from Marquinhos, Angel Di Maria and a second-half Juan Bernat header confirmed a surprisingly one-sided victory for the Parisians.

Neymar had the game’s first big chance, clipping the base of the post after been set-up by Kylian Mbappe.

The opening goal finally did arrive, Brazilian defender-cum-midfielder Marquinhos heading home unmarked.

The lead was doubled in brilliant style, Neymar with a brilliant no-look backheel to assist the returning Di Maria for an easy finish.

Spanish defender Bernat somehow managed to stay on side to head in another PSG goal despite the goalkeeper’s best effort at keeping out the ball.

PSG became the first French club since AS Monaco in 2004 to qualify for the competition’s final and now await the winner between Bayern Munich and Olympique Lyon to determine the opponent for Sunday’s all-important match.
