*calls for unity in APC
The National Secretary, Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC), Distinguished Senator John James Akpan Udoedehe has been described as a blessing to All Progressives Congress, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.
Rev. Wilfred Etuk, Eket chapter chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), made the assertion in Eket recently.
According to him, Distinguished Senator John Udoedehe has proven to be a courageous and selfless leader since his appointment as the National Secretary of the party.
He lauded Sen. Udoedehe for deeming him fit to be appointed as a member of Ondo state ward congress appeal panel , saying the confidence reposed on him by Distinguished Senator John Udoedehe would be treasure and value.
“My appointment into the Ondo State ward congress appeal panel came to me as a surprise. I did not lobby for it. God through Distinguished Senator John Udoedehe, APC National Secretary, made it possible for me to undertook that important national assignment. We have submitted our report. I appreciate Distinguished Senator John Udoedehe show of love. God in his mercies shall reward him and make his ambition of providing focus leadership in Akwa Ibom State to come to pass”.
Rev. Wilfred Etuk, said in his assessment, since the appointment of Distinguished Senator Udoedehe as the National Secretary of APC, the party has witnessed growth, stability and unity.
“Since the appointment of Distinguished Senator John Udoedehe as the National Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), our party has witnessed growth unity and stability. The number of new members ranging from state governors, and prominent Nigerians into APC is unprecedented and it shows that Senator Udoedehe and other members of the caretaker committee are working to re-positon our party”, he said.
Etuk, called on all stakeholders of the party in Akwa Ibom State to join hands with Dr. Ita Udosen, Akwa Ibom State caretaker chairman and ensure that APC win the state in 2023, saying the growth, unity of the party and the formation of government in the state should be the concern of all APC members in the state.
He thanked Obong Umana Okon Umana, Archbishop Samuel Akpan, Hon. Godwin Afangide, Barr. Ibanga Akpabio and all leaders of the party in the state for ensuring that the just concluded ward congress in the state was peaceful, orderly, free and fair, saying the winners need to carry along all members of the party along irrespective of differences before the ward congress.
He lauded the leader of APC in Eket, Dr. Emem Wills for providing focused leadership in the area, saying this is seen in the rapid numerical strength of the party in the area.
Rev. Wifred Etuk, expressed hope that with the commitments of Hon.Charles Ebongho, APC 2019 Eket state constituency candidate and other stakeholders, APC would win Eket Local Government in 2023.
