The human rights and good governance activist, Mr. Adeyanju Deji has insisted that, whether the Organized National Labour Congress protest against bad governance and the hike of stuff in the country that was earlier scheduled to take place today holds or not, some concerned Nigerians who have felt the impact of bad governance in Nigeria must protest on the 1st October,2020 against the hike of electricity tariff, fuel pump price and other unnecessary laws in the country.
Mr. Deji made this known this afternoon after the NLC,TUC suspended the planned nation wide protest after meeting with the Federal government last night 26th September, 2020.
“Don’t worry guys, with or without Labour -the October 1st protest is going to be on point. You can join from your homes. You can join other Nigerians on your streets or be at announced protest venues nationwide. Follow #NotYetIndependent for updates”.
The aim of the planned protest is to express the Nigerians’ grievances over bad leadership in Nigeria with hashtag #NotYetIndependent
